“Your home should tell the story of who you are, and be a collection of what you love.” ~Nate Berkus
I finally got around to painting our bathroom cabinets in our lower level! I’ve been wanting to finish this room, once and for all, but it seems like there’s always something else that kept coming along.
I really wish I had a better photo, but neither one of our bathrooms have a window; which means there’s NO natural lighting for photos! Anyways, I wanted to give you a sneak peek of what I’ve been spending so much time on.
FYI, everything that needed painting in the bathroom is complete. Mr. Cottage even put the new handles on all the drawers. We’re going to give some time for the paint to cure before we get the doors hung back up. Then I’m finally going to be pounding nails into the walls and getting things hung up and looking good in here. When all is said and done, I’ll show you some before and after photos. In case you missed it, I did a blog posting just a few weeks back on how to paint your cabinets. You can read about it here.
Do you notice the color of the wall in the hallway? It’s actually an off white color, but there’s a pink undertone to it and we’re not liking it. That’s why we’ve been trying to get these walls painted down here. Even the guest room has the pink undertone, which is not to our liking. So once the bathroom is completed, I’ll finish up the hallway. We’ve decided to paint the walls the same color as our bathroom, only because we have enough paint left without having to buy more. Then I get to finish the baseboards, trim around the doors and our linen closet. After that, we’ll only have one more room to paint (our guest room) and our condo will be finished with all the painting…..until something else comes along!
