“What good is the warmth of summer, without the cold of winter to give it sweetness.”
I’ve been working away like crazy trying to get a major project finished, so I haven’t had lots of extra time. I’ll just say that I’m finally getting around to painting in our bathroom on our lower level.
Something tells me that spring could be around the corner because we are going from warm weather to cold and snowy weather and back to warm weather. As you read this, we’re suppose to receive 3 to 6 inches of snow today and then next week, it’s suppose to get in the 60’s! This is what living in Michigan is like… never a boring moment with the weather.
I have lots of new followers and readers that I’ve gained since revising my blog earlier this past fall, and I know many haven’t seen these photos before, which I took a year ago. We have lots of spectacular sunsets that we see when we’re at our cottage, but we don’t see many great sunsets in the winter. I happened to glance up and saw the sky as the sun was setting and quickly grabbed my camera and rushed outside to the deck to take this photo.
When I came back in and sat down, I grabbed my iPhone to snap this photo above, as the sky had turned a deeper red. It wasn’t until after I took this photo, I realized I had gotten the reflection of the lamp and parts of our living room in it. It’s now become one of my favorite sunset photos that I’ve taken in winter. Don’t you just love it? I’m hoping not to see this again until next winter!
