“Christmas, my child, is love in action.” ~ Dale Evans
Welcome back for Part 2 of our Christmas Tour. If you missed Part 1, you can see it here. Grab yourself another cup of coffee, tea or hot chocolate and let’s begin.
Nothing looks so magical as white lights at night on the Christmas tree.
What you see around the tree skirt are Mr. Cottage’s train tracks for his Christmas train. I’ll take another photo later and show you the train.
I made this tree skirt over 40 years ago, and the first year we used it, our middle child somehow knocked the tree over and water and sap got over everything. One of the green trees actually bled onto the white snow. Lots of memories with this skirt!
I see a pheasant feather…
Our rustic tree with the lights lit.
Yes, Miss Molly makes herself quite at home. I’ve given up on trying to make her move out of the way; after all, she’s part of our family.
Our dining room table is behind our couch. I received the faux fur throw from Mr. Cottage last year for Christmas. It wasn’t on my list, per say, but when we went to Pottery Barn before Christmas, I told him how much admired it. He does listen when he wants to!
This is a view looking towards the front of our condo where our kitchen is. I found the fur-trimmed pillows from Michael’s, but I’m anxiously awaiting for two more pillows that I ordered from Society 6. As soon as they arrive, I’ll show them to you.
The tray is from Magnolia Farms, as in Fixer Upper from HGTV. I love it!
Yes, those are two skylights above…
After I took this photo, I added my JOY letters to the upper panes of the window. If you scroll back up a bit, you’ll see them.
I keep all our Christmas cards in this basket that I made. This was one of my biggest sellers back when I wove baskets.
As we head into the kitchen, I’m sure many of you remember seeing these ceramic trees years ago, but this was my mother’s and a cousin made it and gave it to her. I’ll always keep it.
Even our kitchen has a nativity set.
And a Santa,
And a mitten garland.
This is looking down the hallway to our bathroom. I love the JOY lighting!
This is on our bathroom wall and it’s a reminder of the reason for this season.
I almost forgot to show you my HO HO HO sign I painted and used to sell in my Etsy shop. This was the last one and I decided to keep it.
As you leave our tour, this is a sneak peek of our new mirror. I’ll show you more later and tell you about it.
I hope you’ve enjoyed our tour. The bedroom is still under renovation, even though the board and batten is complete; so hopefully next year it will be more decked out.
