One thing about downsizing is not having as much “stuff” as you had before. So with that being said, you’re going to notice a number of items I’ve used in some of my previous fall decorating. With only so much storage space, it is what it is; but there’s still a lot of creative ways you can use and reuse your decorating items over and over without it looking the same as before.

I hope you take the time and look at all these other great fall tour of homes from our group:
One member of our group was affected by hurricane Harvey in Houston and she wasn’t able to participate in our fall tour of homes. Please show her some love by visiting her site The Aspiring Home. Thank you.
Welcome to our fall tour…
Welcome to our 2017 Fall Tour. This is where Mr. Cottage and I live, along with Sadie, when we aren’t at our red painted cottage. Our condo is much smaller than our previous house, but in many ways that’s a good thing. So please come inside! As you step inside of our entryway, you see this mirror which is just across from our large hanging shelf and bench. On top of the shelf, I’ve got a few faux pumpkins, along with real dried hydrangeas. I also have my free printable I offered to everyone. If by some chance you’re interested in getting one for yourself, just click here. As we walk into the living room and dining room, you’ll notice my stacked pumpkins. I have the tutorial for making this, along with the ones on our front porch You can find it here. I really tried to get my hands on some ghost pumpkins and some of the bluish pumpkins, but no such luck. Hopefully, they should be around in another week. So I went to plan B for my centerpiece. I’ve had these large white pears and they’re really perfect for this time of year, along with the faux bittersweet. Unfortunately, real bittersweet won’t be available until later next month. I have to be totally honest with you and tell you I’ve had this same bouquet from Trader Joe’s on our mantel for over a week and they’re holding up great. I recently finished painting the feathers above. I’m currently in the process of working on giving some freebies to all my email subscribers, and this will be included with them. I’m hoping to have this set up in the next few weeks. In the meantime, if you haven’t signed up yet, please do so today before you leave so you don’t miss anything!
Want some cake?
So please take a seat while I serve you some of my pumpkin pound cake with brown butter icing. Forget that diet you’re on. You’ve got to try at least one small piece. It’s soooo good! Here’s the recipe if you want to make it. Take a look around while you sit and eat that delicious pound cake. Fall is everywhere. I love the way the orange Chinese lanterns pop against the dark blue wall. And I removed all the spring flowers I had put onto our antler mount so it’s ready for fall and winter. If you want to see how these were all covered, click here and here.
One last stop is the kitchen. These adorable wood pumpkins are my newest addition. I bought them at The Found Cottage, which Liz Marie owns. If you haven’t heard of her or her store, then you must check them out. Remember how I earlier told you to use your old items in new and different ways? I decided to put these white pumpkins on top of our kitchen cupboards this year. And I found a new location for my AUTUMN pumpkins. The basket and these real little white pumpkins all came from The Found Cottage. I hope you’ve enjoyed our tour this year. But before you leave, please remember to check out these other wonderful fall tour of homes, and have a happy fall!
