There are exactly as many special occasions in life as we choose to celebrate. ~Robert Brault
Can you believe that we’re already about half way through February? As much as I dislike the way time is flying, that means spring is literally just around the corner. But before we get to spring, we have Valentines tomorrow, then Mardi Gras and then St. Patrick’s Day.
Last week I shared my DIY Pom Pom Wreath. If you missed it, you can see the tutorial here.
I know it’s gorgeous just as it is and the perfect wreath to hang during the winter months, but what I’m going to share with you is how versatile it is.
Because this wreath is made with a styrofoam wreath form, faux flowers can easily be inserted between the pom poms.
That’s another great thing about this wreath since the pom poms aren’t glued into place, but rather tied on. This allows for a bit of wiggle room to insert items into your wreath and then fluff it up to look great.
You can even add a bow to it, by pinning the bow to the styrofoam wreath form.
I used one long straight pin with a large round head to secure it. See the photo above.
For my St. Patrick’s Day wreath, I chose to use lime green, rather than Kelly green.
I found this cute little sign at Hobby Lobby. I replaced the green ribbon it had with a white one and again secured it to the wreath with long straight pins.
Does anyone in your family have a winter birthday? You could even decorate the wreath for their special day. Happy St. Patrick’s Day…Erin Go Bragh!
Now onto my announcement. I’ve been invited to join the other five co-hosts at Share Your Style. It’s a Thursday link-up party that begins at 7 pm Wednesday evenings. The other co-hosts are: Barbara @ 21 Rosemary Lane, Lynn @ The Vintage Nest, Kelly @ The Essence of Home, Marie-Hélène @ Kingsbury Brook Farm and Lisa @ Feathering My Empty Nest.
I hope you get a chance to check out all the other co-host blogs and see all their wonderful inspiration; and that you’ll join our link-up party, if you haven’t already done so. See you Wednesday evening!
I’m sharing with the following parties you can see here.
