Isn’t it great when you can find something inexpensive that can make a huge difference! Actually, I’ve been on the hunt for awhile looking for a new rug for our entryway

The black oriental rug moved with us from our previous house. It’s a great quality wool rug that had been purchased for our previous living room. I didn’t want our beautiful oriental rug right by the doors. We bought the square rug after our move for something that would catch any dirt coming in from outside.
The idea worked great, except I didn’t like these two rugs together and I didn’t like the oriental rug being in a heavily traffic area. I could see the fringe getting more and more dirty.
So I started searching around for a runner that would work equally as well, look pretty and would hide stains or dirty spots.

I loved the fact it’s not too thick, so we don’t have issues with the doors opening and closing. The cost was less than $50 for this size and that included the shipping, which was free. It also had great reviews and is a well known brand.
Sadie’s hair and spots will hopefully blend right in with this distressed look.
For now, I’ve put the black oriental rug in our living room. I’m hoping someday to get rid of the carpeting and go with wood-like flooring. We’ll be getting this one cleaned the next time I find a sale on oriental rug cleaning.
Not wanting to waste anything, the square rug ended up by the sliding doors in our lower level.
Even Sadie loves it!
