Well everyone, ready or not, Christmas is about here. This delicious cookie recipe is my Christmas gift to all of you. If you love chocolate, you will love these Chocolate Crinkle Cookies. Not only do they taste fantastic, but they’re so pretty. And the best part of all, they’re easy to make.
Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful. ~Norman Vincent Peale
Let’s See How Easy This Really Is…
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Put the cocoa powder into your mixing bowl first, then add the granulated sugar and finally the oil. Mix for at least 2 minutes.
Then add the four eggs and vanilla extract and beat well.
Finally, add in the flour, baking powder and salt. Start mixing it on slow so you’re not getting flour all over your lovely kitchen. After it’s blended, mix it at a medium speed until everything is well mixed.
At this point, cover the bowl and refrigerate for 3-4 hours or longer until the dough is well chilled. If you want to speed it up some, cover it and put the bowl in the freezer for 45-60 minutes.
Put Parchment paper on your cookie sheets. I made each ball 1 tablespoon in size by using a cookie dough scoop. The dough can turn sticky when it starts warming up again to room temperature. If it’s too sticky, you can try rolling the balls with your hands lightly coated in oil or put the dough in the freezer for a few minutes.
After each ball is formed, generously coat them with powdered sugar by rolling it around in the sugar.
This is what they’ll look like after removing from the oven. Let them cool on the cookie sheet for a few minutes, and then remove them to a cooling rack.

I’ll be taking the rest of the year off, except for Share Your Style link party on Wednesday evening, and will return the first week in 2018. I hope all of you have a very Merry Christmas/Happy Hanukkah and a great New Year!
