A chattering bird builds no nest. ~Cameroonian Proverb
Now that it’s officially spring and the weather is becoming slightly warmer, I’m finally ready to start getting the inside of our house decorated for spring.
Notice I said “start” decorating. I shared our spring porch last week, but if you missed it, you can see it here. So today I started by making an easy five minute bird nest for our dining table.
- Bag of moss, green reindeer and Spanish moss in Mocha or natural
- Small twigs from outdoors
- Feather or two, can be purchased at craft store or found in nature
- Specked eggs
- Small container to hold the nest
On your container, drop in a large mound of Spanish moss and make a large indentation in the center by spreading the moss out and up for the edges. Add your collection of small twigs to the moss, as seen above.
Add the reindeer moss around the nest.
Lay the speckled eggs in it and if you have a feather or two, arrange it in the nest. That’s it! Done! Finished!
I’ll be sharing more DIY and decorating ideas as I put the rest of our spring decor out. You won’t want to miss any of it!
I’m sharing at the following parties you can see here.
