I mentioned I had gone to The Found Cottage, but what I didn’t tell you is there are a number of similar stores all on the same road, including the Painted Farmgirl. What’s really great is all of these stores are within a few miles or less of each other. The Painted Farmgirl hosts a large flea market in the spring and fall and it’s just across the road from them at the fairgrounds. We didn’t go last spring because I was saving up to go to Haven, but I was determined to go this fall; and it just happened to be this past weekend. I should mention here that The Found Cottage just started hosting their own flea market in Holland, Michigan; but it was on Labor Day weekend, and we’re always up to our cottage then.

Farmgirl Flea Market…
I recently read where the Farmgirl Flea Market is listed in the top 100 flea markets around our country, according to Flea Market Style Magazine. And to think we live only 20 minutes away from this great vintage flea market! Before I begin, I’ll let you know it went to the mid-nineties this past Saturday, with really high humidity. So we decided to go early and leave early before we all melted. I’ll show you my haul at the end.
OK, help me out here everyone, what are this adorable pumpkins made of? With us downsizing and not much storage space, I just took a photo of them because I knew they couldn’t come home with me.
Why didn’t I buy some of these dried hydrangeas and that gorgeous pink pumpkin in the middle? Kicking myself now!
I love that we live in a state where we always carry the map of our state in our left hand. We just raise it up and point to where we live; how easy is that!
There were also a number of vintage trailers with lots of goodies in them. This ceiling is so awesome!
Pumpkins and Christmas trees were everywhere.
There were so many wood signs everywhere, but these were my favorite. Every sign was handpainted, and looked fabulous; plus the prices were really tempting me. Even though I’ve made similar, sometimes it’s better to just buy it finished if the price is right! Kicking myself again, but I did get her card and she’s somewhat within driving distance.
A pallet and a rake, love it!
I’m so glad we finally got to the end and couldn’t wait to get into air conditioning. I know, a real party-pooper!
So here’s my entire loot! As we were leaving, my sister-in-law, Barb, spotted this old vintage tablecloth for me. It was in perfect condition and I got it for a great price. I love collecting old tablecloths and for whatever reason, I’m having a harder time finding good ones.
These Christmas trees will look great on the ledge in our stairway, or anywhere else I decide to put them.
This glass pitcher had two prices, and the correct price was only $5. My steal of the day! The vendor told me it leaks from a small chip on the bottom. No problem because I’ll fill it with faux flowers or leave it plain. I couldn’t pass this one up!
I heard the next one will be the weekend of May 18, 2018. Mark it on you calendar so you don’t forget! We met a couple who drove across our state to come to this flea market today. They came last year and she said she’ll keep on coming.
