Happy Tuesday everyone! First and foremost, today is Mr. Cottage’s birthday! I haven’t given him his gift yet, but I can tell you what I’m making for our dinner tonight. It’s my yummy Bow-Tie Pasta With Chicken, along with artisan bread and homemade dipping oil. Oh, and I made a batch of delicious cinnamon rolls. Who says you need cake for your birthday? Recipe for the cinnamon rolls will be coming shortly.

I know the photo above and below don’t show the full scope, but it looked like a scene out of Hitchcock’s movie, The Birds! I caught this as I was leaving our daughter’s house last week. I had my camera with the large lens in my car and didn’t dare want to move the car in anyway because then I might miss this shot.
I know it doesn’t look like it, but there were well over a thousand birds. I was strapped in my seat and this last photo of them was shot without me looking in the camera. I wasn’t able to turn around, so I put the camera where I thought it should be and clicked.
If you’re wondering why I had the camera with the large lens in the car (and if you’re not wondering, I’ll tell you why, also). As I head back home from her place, immediately on the entrance ramp to the expressway is a sheep farm. You know me and my sheep! This photo was taken back in November on a cold, rainy day. You can see the sheep, but I didn’t have my large lens with me. If you look in the side mirror of the car, you can see how I pulled over on the ramp.
It’s really hit or miss with them. The day of the birds, when I had my large lens, the horses and cows were out, but no sheep.
Mr. Cottage was kind enough to pullover a few years ago so I could run out and take these photos. This is on our way to our cottage and is on a two-lane road.
This one was very friendly and came right up to me.

So lets talk movies and television for a moment. We rarely ever go to the movies anymore, unless we have a gift card. Between iTunes, Netflix, and DVD’s, we can always find something to watch when the mood strikes. To be honest, I’m not a huge TV fan. We both really love to read. But we just watched The Martian for the umpteenth time last week. There’s some movies I can watch over and over and that’s one of them. We also love The Town, Interstellar, Hidden Figures and Deepwater Horizon. When I visit our daughter, we spend a lot of time talking and then we usually watch a movie. Some good ones I’ve seen at her place are The Founder and Snowden. I still have to get caught up with The Crown on Netflix, but I’m really enjoying Victoria on PBS, especially since Downton Abbey is over. And we finally finished Breaking Bad just last week. I’d love to hear what series, movies and/or shows you love watching.
